Of all the pictures of Egypt, the most impressive and captivating are those of the Great Pyramids of Giza. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, these pyramids were built for the Pharaohs Khufu, his son the Pharaoh Khafre, and his grandson, the Pharaoh Menkaure. The Pyramid of Khufu, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, remained the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years until the Lincoln Cathedral in England was completed around 1300 AD.
